DUCK DIVE - NDAC LAUNCHES UNIQUE
PHOTO COMPETITION

News that Dive Worldwide and the Bahamas Tourist Office are offering a ‘trip of a lifetime’ as the top prize for a National Diving and Activity Centre (NDAC) competition is expected to have thousands of divers reaching for their cameras.
The innovative Duck Dive project involves the adoption of a classic yellow rubber duck – stamped with the NDAC logo - and the subsequent submission of a photograph taken with the duck somewhere whacky, far away or simply breathtaking.
Already the web site www.ndac.co.uk/ducks is hosting images taken in Hawaii, Egypt, Italy, South Africa and Australia.
Darren Bryce from NDAC said: “The Duck Dive project is a great ice breaker. We guarantee people will stop and stare when you get a rubber duck out and take a picture!
“This is a fun and amusing idea that we hope will capture the imagination of divers in the UK and around the world. It doesn’t matter where the photo is taken or with whom - if it grabs the judge’s attention is could be a winner. Most of all it’s supposed to be a giggle, albeit with a big prize incentive.”
The top prize comprises return flights for two adults to the Bahamas, plus one week’s accommodation at the exclusive Riding Rock Marina and free diving in the crystal clear waters.
Loads of top notch runner-up prizes have also been donated including two VR3 C1 units from VR Technology and gear from Fourth Element.
To give everyone the chance to take part the closing date for entries is December.
Each duck cost £5 to adopt online with all the proceeds going to supporting Bite-Back, the UK’s fastest growing shark and marine conservation organisation.
